This is our headline Award for the Best Placement & Internship Employer. What makes this Award truly unique is that it is purely based on the reviews submitted on RateMyPlacement by students who have completed placements & internships. To qualify for this Award, a company needs to employ more than 250 people and have 10 or more reviews on RateMyPlacement from placement years that commenced in 2009 or internships that took place in 2010. Only reviews that met this criteria and that were submitted on the website during 2010 were considered, resulting in our official Top 50 Placement & Internship Employers table which will be revealed later on in the year!

Winner – Grant Thornton

With a fantastic overall score of 8.72 / 10 from their 21 student written reviews from their 2009/2010 intake on RateMyPlacement.co.uk, Grant Thornton improved on their 2nd place in the 2010 Awards by taking the much coveted crown in the 2011 Awards!

“I would certainly recommend an internship with Grant Thornton, as I felt mine was very enjoyable and also very beneficial. The work is both varied and challenging, and there is a great amount of support given throughout. There are a lot of opportunities to socialise with other employees outside of work, and you are given excellent opportunities to communicate with other interns all over the UK.”
