We are delighted to announce the Winners of the 2012 National Placement & Internship Awards!

The Awards took place on the afternoon of Wednesday 18th January at City University, London. Sponsored by PwC and supported by AGR and AGCAS, the Awards were attended by over 300 representatives from both the corporate and higher education world.

The event began with an interactive ‘Insight into Engaging with First-Year Students’ session delivered by On-Campus Promotions featuring the findings of a survey of first-year undergraduates, presented by Ali Lindsay and Amber Jones. Following this was an interactive Q & A panel discussion, consisting of first-year students, second-year students and recruiters who run specialist first-year schemes.

The Awards Ceremony commenced at 4pm with a welcome from Gary Argent, Director of Careers at City University London, followed by an inspiring and motivational speech from Steve Backley, former Javelin World Record Holder and Olympic medallist (including film clips of some of his greatest achievements). The Awards were then presented by RMP co-founders Oliver Sidwell and Chris Wickson, closing with the announcement of the Headline Award, 'Best Placement & Internship Employer', won by Barclays Capital.
